To Tyler Vu, every wedding is a series of fleeting moments. With a trained eye and a seamless, unobtrusive style, Tyler captures the simplicity, beauty and elegance of those moments — and renders them timeless. For years and even decades later, memories of your special day will remain celebrated and unforgettable.
Tyler’s approach is creative, but classic. His style is natural, but inspired. He’s a photojournalist, but at heart he’s a storyteller. Tyler photojournalistic instinct is shaped by his life experiences: a love for jazz and art during his cultured upbringing in New Orleans; his studies in Communications, Graphic Arts and Photography at the University of Loyola; and influences from designers and photographers while working at the San Jose Mercury News.
As a well-established photographer in the Bay Area, Tyler understands the importance of cultural traditions and has extensive experience in covering ethnically diverse weddings. He thrives on capturing equally precious moments leading up to the ceremony day, paying particular attention to unique and unusual places for couple-centered photo shoots.
Little known facts about Tyler: He enjoys playing and watching football (he’s a huge N.O. Saints fan), collecting comic books, and catching new movies. Hailing from New Orleans, he’s also a professional crawfish peeler (yes, there’s a proper way to do it) and will challenge anyone to a crawfish-eating contest.
