I'm beginning to realize that all of those years and time of watching movies and ESPN are finally paying off. One of the hardest things about shooting weddings or engagement sessions for a photographer is the ability to break the ice. My knowledge of sports and entertainment are great asset and time killer during our drive to a location. I gain trust from my grooms by my ability to remember all the names of the skill-position-players on the 32 NFL teams. I impress the brides with my thorough discussion of romantic comedies: such as When Harry Met Sally, 27 Dresses, Love, Actually, As Good as it Gets, Made of Honor, Serendipity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith...(well, the last one is a love story).
Lucky for me, most couples from the Bay Area have a true passion for food, movies and definitely Sports. Look at all the winning teams that we can choose to root for. Their passion usually leads to fun locations to shoot. Today, I was able to visit AT&T Park, the home of Melanie and Lawrence's favorite team. For the record, the Giants were playing in Oakland at the same time we were having this shoot. Sadly, they went down 1-0 to the A's. When can we get some hitting, already? Licecum's arm will fall of soon.

(05.25.10)I guess when you know the two very well, you could easily say that these photos and the locations really express who they are, and fit perfectly. However the way you took the photos and directed the shoot, you definitely captured the beauty of the locations through the beauty of the Melanie and Lawrence. Can't wait for the wedding!
