The hugs you didn’t see. Your parents trying not to cry. Your friends taking shots at the bar. The ridiculous dance moves that appear sometime after dinner.
Those are the photographs I’m looking for.
After 20 years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned when to give direction and when to get out of the way. You enjoy your wedding. I’ll make sure you remember what it felt like.
Direction when you need it. Space when you don’t.
You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. When it’s time for portraits, I’ll guide you, find the best light and help you look your best.
But when the real moments start happening, I step back.
No recreating someone else’s Pinterest board. No turning your wedding into an all-day photoshoot. Just thoughtful direction when it matters and the freedom to actually experience your wedding.
I’m Tyler, a Bay Area wedding photographer who believes your wedding should feel like a wedding, not a photoshoot.
Most of the day, you’ll find me watching. Your people, their reactions, the light, the energy and all the little things happening while you’re busy getting married.
When you need me, I’ll step in. When you don’t, you probably won’t notice I’m there.
And if something goes sideways? Don’t worry. After 20 years, I’ve seen a lot.
We’ll figure it out.
